CD Review- Lil Flip-I need mine

Houston’s premiere rap-artist came out long before Mike Jones, Paul wall and Slim Thug. Lil’ Flip released his sophomore album “I Need Mine” last week.

With the movement of the south rising, Lil’ Flip brings his bold, brassy, gangster flow to his famous screwed and chopped music. With songs like “What It Do,” produced by Mannie Fresh, Flip explains what it’s like living in Houston. “I need mine” combines well-known Mannie Fresh style beats with Flip’s laid back flow. The song ” I’m A Balla,” featuring up and coming rapper Chamillionaire, talks about the good things in life. This album is very well produced, and I recommend it to fans of Lil’ Flip as well as anyone who is into the sounds of the South, particularly Houston.

After reconciling his beef with T.I., Flip’s newest album defines why he will indefinitely stay in the rap game.
