Cal Poly State University, San Louis Obispo has reopened the application-filing period to upper-division transfer students thanks to additional funding endorsed by the California Legislature.
Applications for the 2005 Winter and Spring Quarters will be accepted on a rolling basis for students who satisfy the CSU eligibility requirements (60 or more transferable semester units) by the end of Fall 2004, said Amy Shore, senior admissions associate for Cal Poly.
Though many City College students transfer to UCSB, Cal Poly is also a popular choice.
Last year it was the sixth most popular CSU transfer among City College students.
International students and those who have obtained part of their college education internationally will not be considered for the filing period.
The undergraduate majors that will be considered are Art and Design, Architecture, Construction Management, Kinesiology, Mechanical Engineering, Music, Psychology and Speech Communication. Applicants are encouraged to submit their transcripts as soon as possible to maximize registration options for those who are selected.
