Workshop aids in major choice

Erin O'Neil

City College students have the opportunity to attend two more Choose A Major Workshops. Coordinated by the Career Center, counselors have organized the seminar to assist students in determining a college major.
Students will begin the process by completing a self-assessment test by forming an idea of their career interests. Occupations that fulfill the individual’s interests will be determined upon the results. Students will then learn about college majors that relate to potential jobs and the classes that should be taken in order to fulfill requirements to transfer.
Information on specific colleges will be provided to help students decide which college would be the best choice for their potential major.
The hour-long workshops are scheduled for Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. and Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. in SS-282.
