The Atkinson Gallery hosts a reception Friday for “The Empty and the Filled/Lo Vacio y lo LLeno,” an exhibit of works by sculptor Isabel Barbuzza.
“This exhibition and Isabel Barbuzza are great examples of the success which can come to artists who persevere,” said Chris Bates, assistant art professor.
Barbuzza has had one-person shows at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and the Contemporary Arts Forum, and her work has been shown internationally.
The opening reception is from 5 to 7 p.m., and the exhibit runs through Dec. 12.
