On Tuesday, Oct. 14, City College women’s soccer team defeated Ventura College 2-0, along with a Raíces celebration at the game called “Noche de Fútbol” in honor of Latiné Heritage Month. The celebration included food trucks, sign-making to honor players and a halftime performance by Equipo Elite. Dancing, cheering and yelling filled La Playa Stadium throughout the night. Women’s soccer has a conference record of 4-0-1 with its next game on Friday, Oct. 17 against La Pierce.
