The Vaqueros baseball team surged past the hosting Moorpark Raiders in an 11-0 victory Saturday, making the second straight game where the squad scored 11 runs.
The Vaqs came out with five runs in the first inning, never to look back. The men have scored in double digits in three of their last four games, as they poise themselves to make a playoff run.
It has been an up and down season for the men who started with a 10-1 record, then struggled midway after dropping eight straight games. Their record has improved to 22-18 as the Vaqs have won 10 of their last 14 games.
The Vaqueros host Allan Hancock in their final game of the regular season Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
