Feb. 1 – 8:20 p.m.
A bike was stolen from the bike rack in Lot 2C near La Playa Stadium. The $1,000 bike was locked with a rubber cable that was cut. Rubber cables are easy to cut, so it was not surprising that the bike was stolen, said Erik Fricke, director of campus security.
Feb. 4 – 9 a.m.
A student stole a credit card sometime between Jan. 25 and 26. The student spent $291 at the City College bookstore. It was also used at seven other places, but for an unknown amount. The Santa Barbara Police Department is currently investigating the matter.
