City College Student Trustee, Levi Palencia, resigned Oct. 10, due to personal reasons.
Associated Student Senate President, Elie Katzenson will choose a new Student Senate member to take Palencia’s place.
The job of the Student Trustee is to attend all Board of Trustee meetings and represent roughly 20,000 students.
City College is one of the only two years colleges in California to have the Student Trustee be a member of the Associated Student Senate as well.

Palencia was elected May 2, 2013 through an online student vote.
“We are sad to announce that our Student Trustee, Levi Palencia, will no longer be with us,” said President of the Board of Trustees, Marty Blum.
