Area 4 Board of Trustees candidate Craig Nielson leads with a margin of 1.03 percent according to vote-by-mail results of the Santa Barbara County general election ballot, last updated at 8:05 p.m.
Nielson, 64-year-old City College alumni, hopes to reinstate City College’s mission statement, as well as focus on core-credit classes. His opponent, Brian Fay, 34-year-old Philadelphia native, wishes to protect continuing education and stands in full support of Proposition 30.
