The only one of its kind, The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour will be on campus during the afternoon on March 18.

“I’ve seen it before. It’s the kind of event where you sort of get chills,” said Melissa Moreno, Director of the Scheinfeld Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

“You get so excited and you just can’t believe the stories. It’s really motivating and makes you realize that anything is possible,” Moreno said.

The tour consists of a team of young, successful business owners.

“The tour is about students who have set their sights on a lofty vision and made it a reality sharing their stories and inspiring their peers to do the same,” said Sarah Green, Director of Events at The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour.

At the event there will be two keynote speakers and two to three local entrepreneurs.

“Students will hear from the very young and successful entrepreneurs and see that it’s possible for anyone to become successful building your own business at such a young age,” Moreno said.

Sheena Lindahl and Michael Simmons, authors of “The Student Success Manifesto” and “All or Nothing, Now or Never”, are the co-founders of the Extreme Entrepreneurship Education that is hosting the tour. Both graduated from New York University in 2005 and in 2006 were listed by Business Week among the nation’s top 25 entrepreneurs younger than 25 years old. Lindahl and Simmons were 17 and 16 when they first started their own businesses, respectively.

Since the tour was launched it has already visited 40 states and held over 200 events.

“Extreme Entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business,” Green said. “It’s about a way of thinking that is needed by all students to be successful in the 21st century.”

The event is free and open for all students at the City College.

“I hope they walk away with the idea that anybody can start their own business and anybody can be successful and make their dreams come true,” Moreno said.
