CD Review- Lily Allen “It’s Not Me, It’s You”

For a singer who is more famous for flashing her third nipple than for releasing good music, Lily Allen’s second album is not bad. She is once again singing about love, life and losses in London town on “It’s Not Me, It’s You,” released Feb. 9.
Her first single, “The Fear,” is by far the best song. With typical bittersweet Allen lyrics, she sings: “And I’ll take my clothes off and it will be shameless, ’cause everyone knows that’s how you get famous.”
The music focuses more on the vocals, with a few catchy beats. The song “Fuck You” gives the idea that cursing like a sailor is okay-as long as it’s done with a cute, British accent.
Unfortunately for Allen and her listeners, the rest of the album blends together in slow and easily forgettable songs, making listeners long for something that was never really there.
