CD Review- All I Ever Wanted

Despite being the first winner of American Idol-and Simon Cowell‘s all-time favorite-Kelly Clarkson fails to deliver with her new album, “All I Ever Wanted,” released on March 10 by RCA.

This is the fourth studio disc released by Clarkson since her appearance on the popular Fox reality TV show, but unfortunately, nothing on this album truly stands out.

“All I Ever Wanted” is easily digestible, but also easily forgotten. It has a few potential hits like “Cry,” and the incendiary first single “My Life Would Suck Without You,” but does not reflect any of Clarkson’s personality in comparison to her previous album, “My December.”

Instead, Clarkson has gone right back to the mainstream, sleek-pop genre where she started.

This is absolutely radio material, a commercial gold mine ready to be cashed in. If you are looking for something fresh and original, this is definitely not the right album for you.
